Company History
Welcome!

Company founder Henry Lurie opened the doors of Henry A. Lurie & Associates in 1953 with a mission to provide innovative design solutions for special-use facilities. While working as an engineer for a Cincinnati-based company, Henry was told that the design firms hired by the company, "didn't understand their business and brought little or nothing to the table...Designs were full of the same old mistakes and shortcomings."
Henry thus formed a team of people who knew the building trades–construction, architecture and engineering–and who understood the unique needs of each market they served.
The firm thrived and became Hendon-Lurie & Associates in 1986 under the direction of Robert Hendon. In the years that followed, the company grew and spearheaded many projects for industrial, commercial, and institutional clients.
In 2000 the firm's leadership changed hands and Mark Redmond became president. Under Mark's direction, the founder's guiding principals are still being followed today.
